Vanessa was first discovered as a teenage actress in Alex Cox’s El Patrullero in 1992. Her career developed steadily throughout the last decade with films such as La Ley de las Mujeres (1995), Piedras Verdes (1998) and many roles in popular Latin-American television series. Along with her film and television successes, she pursued a parallel career as a theatre actress. Vanessa Bauche belongs to a new generation referred to as the Mexican New Wave. Her role as Susana in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Academy Award Nominated Amores Perros brought Vanessa to light in Latin America.
